Aglianico del Vulture ‘Pipoli’

Great value for a powerful, well made wine.  You certainly get more bang for your buck in Southern Italy.
From Aglianico grapes grown on the near vertical hillside of the volcanic mountain of Mount Vulture, on sun baked soil with vultures circling overhead.  Charmingly rustic.

Ripe flavours of stewed plums, hazelnuts and chocolate are nicely balanced with juicy acid and assertive, chalky tannins.
