Clos La Coutale Cahors

With no trips or tasting for a year, we were very pleased to find this fabulous Cahors when one of our lovely shippers dropped by with a box of samples.

This is 80% Malbec but softened with 20% Merlot which makes it much more approachable than the traditional Vin Noir.

Fun Fact:  Monsieur Coutale invented the double action “waiters’ friend” type corkscrew which the French call a Coutale.
