Domaines Philippe Porcheron Clos Margalaine Margaux

The second wine of the much-celebrated and distinctive Château Marojallia, Clos Margalaine consists of just four hectares of deep, gravelly soils located between the estates of Le Tertre and Monbrison.

Philippe Porcheron describes this wine as ‘very feminine’, rounded, fruit-forward (thanks to a higher percentage of Merlot) and fleshy. He is a meticulous winemaker, stripping vines by hand and harvesting grapes still green before laboriously selecting the very finest.

The result is seriously elegant, well-balanced and will astonishing length of finish. We are the only UK stockist of Clos Margalaine, as it is shipped exclusively for us.
