Pfaffl St. Laurent ‘Wald’

The world famous producer Wiengut R&A Pfaffl, based in the Lower Austria wine region of the country was named ‘European Winery of the Year 2016’ by Wine Enthusiast Magazine..

The winery is now run by dynamic young brother and sister team, Roman Josef Pfaffl who is vineyard manager and winemaker and Heidi Fischer who takes care of business administration and marketing.

St. Laurent isn’t a variety we see a great deal of in this country but it’s well worth discovering. Heidi describes their ‘Wald’ (Forest) as “…multi-faceted, plum and strawberry meet spice and elegance. For those who adore juicy finesse.”
